Jaffrey, with the towering Mount Monadnock summit located within its township, has a natural attraction that required no further embellishment with which to invite modern time settlers. Numerous ponds, lakes and streams bid the lover of water sports. Dozen of winding trails lead the mountain climber up Monadnock. The historic and beautiful Jaffrey Center Meeting House serves as both the Amos Fortune Forum auditorium and the Monadnock Music concert hall. Jaffrey has its own airport which hosts an annual fireworks festival. It's downtown is enjoying a Main Street revival with an Art Deco Theater and massive brick mill seeing new life. It is also a venue for festivals every season.
